DesiDhaakad™ Sustainability Excellence Awards 2026 (DDSEA 2026) Concludes Successfully at NSE Mumbai
Honouring India’s Women-Led Green Changemakers Advancing Honourable PM Modi’s Vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and the Culture of Bharat.
Mumbai, July 11, 2026 — A power-packed evening unfolded on July 10, 2026, as the inaugural DesiDhaakad™ Sustainability Excellence Awards 2026 (DDSEA 2026) concluded successfully at the NSE Atrium, BKC, Mumbai. Presented by Etherwire.ai and co-hosted by NSE Sustainability Ratings & Analytics Limited, the event was dedicated to Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visionary call for Viksit Bharat 2047 and the rich cultural ethos of Bharat. It celebrated women leaders and organisations driving environmental stewardship, sustainable development, and community impact rooted in India’s heritage.
Dr. Anupama Vaidya, Managing Committee Member, DDSEA 2026 & Founder & Chief Transformation Architect, Los Aurigas, moderating Shri. Aditya Pittie (author of Viksit Bharat: India @ 2047) focusing on “Dhaakad Vision for Viksit Bharat: Women’s Roles Reimagining India's Sustainable Future by 2047”.
Defining Viksit Bharat Beyond GDP
Pittie noted that while reaching developed status requires hitting a per capita income of $15,000 (making India a $30+ trillion economy), the vision for Viksit Bharat is much more holistic. He emphasized the concept of Antyodaya (the rise of the last man), which ensures a minimum standard of dignity, healthcare, and education for every citizen. He also highlighted the government's GYAN framework—focusing on Garib (Poor), Yuva (Youth), Annadata (Farmers), and crucially, Nari (Women).
The Rise of Nari Shakti in the Economy
When asked about women's roles, Pittie shared powerful data showing that the female labor participation rate has grown from 23% to 41%. Furthermore, 68% of PM Mudra loans have been availed by women, and approximately 40% of startups in India's ecosystem now have at least one female director. He stressed that women must be at the decision-making tables, quoting: "If you're not on the table, then you're on the menu".
To reach sustainable development by 2047, Pittie outlined three necessary mindset shifts — which Dr. Vaidya lucidly summarized as the CBI framework:
Building Through Civic Responsibility
Pittie concluded with a call for an "everything is possible" mindset, emphasizing that nation-building is a collaborative journey. He urged the audience to adopt small, civic-minded habits—like following traffic rules, buying Indian brands, and paying taxes—noting that if citizens change their daily habits, cities will naturally transform into the future we envision.
